Fernley Chamber Welcomes New Bank of America Branch

The Fernley Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting and grand opening this morning for the new Bank of America branch at Fernley Village Marketplace.
The new facility has been a long time coming for the banking institution and the Fernley community as well. The bank has been operating out of temporary headquarters on Main Street since it opened its doors in 1990. The new branch at 1480 U.S. Hwy. 95-A North is the finalist in a site search that spanned a number of years.

Branch Manager Tracy Jo Johnson told attendees at today's ceremony that the new B of A is the most state of the art banking operation in Fernley. The building boasts a number of universal conference rooms that allow customers to consult with bankers privately, there's also a media wall to provide entertainment while waiting, and there's a unique self-service safe deposit box vault that gives clients the ability to access the room using a hand-reader. Johnson, second from the right, started with the bank more than 12 years ago as a teller.
Isaias Guzman, Senior Vice President, Eastern California/Nevada Market, thanked Johnson and her team along with the Fernley community for supporting the bank. He stressed that the new facility is an indicator of the bank's strong commitment to Fernely, in spite of the tumultuous times for the nation's banking industry.
The company serves more than 59 million consumer and small business relationships with more than 6,100 retail banking offices, more than 18,000 ATMs and online banking with more than 25 million active users.
Bank of America boasts relationships with more than 4 million small business owners through a suite of online products and services. The financial services company indicates that it has clients in more than 150 countries and relationships with 99 percent of the U.S. Fortune 500 companies.
